Youth in Music

2020

Mentorship Program

Ages 12 – 24

Do you play an instrument?

Do you like to sing?

Do you write your own songs?

Do you like performing in front of people?

Would you like to improve your knowledge and understanding of the music business and discover what it takes to be a part of this exciting world?

Do you live in the Yorke Peninsula/Mid North Region, then join us for a series of free workshops aimed at young people with an interest in developing pathways into the music business.

These free workshops will be presented by local professional songwriters/musicians who will share with you their experiences gathered over many years of being in the business.
You will learn about:

• Understanding the Music Business
• Using Social Media to promote yourself including video recording
• Performance Skills. Live and streaming online.
• Finding your Voice
• Song writing
• Instrument skills
• Recording tricks and tips for that perfect demo

You will meet like-minded singers and musicians so you will be able to build your network of contacts.

At the end of the presentation you will be able to register your interest in participating in a song writing/recording session and learn first-hand from experienced producers, audio engineers, and musicians the art of improving and arranging your song and then recording with a session band of professional musicians.

The final version of your song will be recorded on video for downloading through our website and Facebook Page

Sessions start Tue 28 July at 7pm and will run each Tuesday @ 7pm until 1 September
